BPS carb kits contain a combination of quality components and years of testing and field performance. Our kits come with everything you need to add better performance, power, great throttle response and better fuel economy.
We use reliable and stable Mikuni carburetors because they provide optimum fuel atomization which ensures good hole shots, stable mid range and snap neck performance at full throttle.
Our custom design intakes are designed specifically for these engines. They not only provide the correct operating angle for the Mikuni carburetors, they provide near perfect equal flow to the #1 and #2 cylinders to ensure full power. The most difficult part of designing a carburetor kit is the intake manifold. The materials must compliment the engine operating temperature, must provide fail free mounting, must locate the carburetor for optimum appearance and fit, and most importantly provide the flow necessary for all throttle positions, particularly idle, mid range and full throttle.
All our kits have a necessary governor block that locks your governor arm in place to stop uncontrolled governor oscillation that can lead to engine failure.
Kits include other important components such as custom throttle cables, throttle cable mounting adaptors, high performance custom gaskets, custom K&N and Tau Ceti air filters, small micron pre filter covers, high pressure fuel needle and seat, and of course the proper correct idle, needle, needle seat and full throttle jets for our engines.
And as importantly, our kits are easy to install, 2 hours for the single and three hours for the twin carbs. Our kits come with all mounting hardware, photo instructions and if you want to fine tune the carburetor to your altitude, load and new engine mods, we provide the Mikuni tuning manual.
